Directors Update from Matt Garman
As we come towards to the end of 2008 I think its fair to say that nobody has a crystal ball and really knows what the New Year holds for the business world. That said with all the current doom and gloom I feel that it is always important to recognise what we have all achieved in our businesses within the past 12 months.
At dhc a few main points stand out, namely:
< > An increase in turnover from £ 2.4m to £ 3.1m
< > With your help we were nominated and then shortlisted for an annual award - Accounting and Finance Reseller of the Year 2008 at the Software Satisfaction Awards.
< > Extended the functionality and modules of iConnekt, including the new Resource Management module, culminating in achieving Microsoft Gold Certified Partner status.
< > Since the last newsletter we have continued to recruit and have welcomed Matthew Simmons to our team here in Godalming to develop a new and exciting area of our business - more to come about this soon!!!!
< > We won the top award again at the Annual Access Accounting Conference - 'Reseller of the Year', for the second time in three years

Microsoft Gold Certified Partner Status

Dealer of the Year 2008/2009

Established in 1954 Stopps Ltd is one of the most experienced and well respected interior fit out contractors in the UK, specialising in high quality refurbishment and physical security installation in the commercial, retail, residential and public sectors. dhc recently upgraded Stopps from Horizons to Dimensions Lite.
Extract from the Case Study
“The Sub Contractors ledger is absolutely fantastic, we used to do it all manually – putting sub-contractors through individually as normal suppliers, calculating and tracking the tax. All this is now automated by Dimensions Lite, all we have to do is set them up to begin and then it is easy to report from it and send to HMRC if required. This has saved us a lot of time, on average 4 hours a week. Duplication of work and re-keying data has reduced significantly and accuracy has increased so we are really happy with the results we are getting” commented Denise Hazelwood, Accountant at Stopps.
